SIR TOM FINNEY LEGEND BANNER

Teams Line Up

Its a game of few chances , Potter scores for The Dons first , running through the middle of the defence and tucking the ball neatly into the net .
North End leave it till the 90th minute to grab an equaliser when Wright nods home from inside the six yard box . Main thing is PNE kept plugging away , the effort was apparent but there's much to work on . The Lillywhites didn't get the ball to the wide areas enough in the first half and when they did , the final ball wasn't quite good enough . Can't remember them taking a quick free-kick or quick short corner in the first 45 minutes . Taking a couple of minutes to stroll over to the corner flag is fine sometimes but the opposition need more to think about and to be kept on their toes more fequently . Anyway what do i know ? MK Dons number 3 Lewington must have thought he was on holiday in the first half , he should have fetched his recliner . Certainly drank enough bottles of water , just needed a cocktail umbrella stick to finish it off !

Second half was an improvement with Mayor getting down the wings , asking more questions of the Dons defence . He was unlucky not to get a few more decisions in his favour . Hume was his usual 110 per cent - always works hard for the team . Defence did well overall - kept The Dons chances limited .

As for the Dons - they got the ball to wide areas but created little for a team in the top places of this league . Alan Smith didn't do much either .

I don't like being critical but the PA System was inadequate - the chairman was sitting ten rows behind me - surely he must have heard what we all did - mumble jumble !

More PNE Legends turn out for Sir Tom

Wonder what Sean Gregan finds funny about the Deepdale Duck ?
Maybe Duck's on the menu later ? Maybe its 'The Beast ' in disguise .
Your on the left wing - knock it in the centre and Bob's Your Uncle !
Where's Lawro ? Oh - he's the pundit .
