Horse Guards Parade

Horse Guards Parade was formerly the site, where tournaments (including jousting) were held in the time of King Henry V111. It was also the scene of annual celebrations of the birthday of Queen Elizabeth 1.
The area has been used for a variety of reviews, parades and other ceremonies since the 17th century.
It was once the Headquarters of the British Army. The Duke Of Wellington was based in Horse Guards when he was Commander-In-Chief of the British Army. The current General Officer Commanding London District still occupies the same office and uses the same desk. Wellington also had living quarters within the building, which today are used as offices

They also adopted Rochdale's centenary kit of black and white stripes. Their first home game in the league as Rochdale Town was a 4–5 defeat at the start of the 2008–09 season to the newly formed AFC Liverpool on 16 August 2008

You enter the stadium  to the main concourse , through a narrow entrance to the main seated Grandstand .
The stadium has a good mixture of seated and standing covered terracing adorned by a a press box  positioned above the main stand .

The scenery surrounding the ground is absolutely stunning !

Wigan Robin Park

Today's opponents Wigan Robin Park  need a win to secure the Champions title and the game proves to be open and entertaining with a controversial penalty and sending off . Town are determined to spoil the party but find it difficult after being reduced to ten men when their keeper receives his marching orders for attempting to bring down Phil Howard just outside the box . The referee appeared to allow the advantage but when Howard failed to score a spot kick was awarded which the replacement goalie saved .The Robins from Wigan run out winners by 4-1 and are presented with the North West Counties Division 1 Trophy by representatives from nwcf

Haslingden is a small town in Rossemdale Lancashire 19 miles north of Manchester. The name means 'valley of the hazels', though the town is in fact set on a high and windy hill . . The town is notable for its stone quarrying, and Haslingden Flag (a quartz-based sandstone) was exported throughout the country in the 19th century with the opening up of the rail network. It was used in the paving of Trafalgar Square in London . The picturesque ground is situated at the bottom of South Shore Street via  terraced houses on Townsend Street
