Its my first match and i never intended to start a blog .
As you can tell its my first blog and its like the bottom level of the pyramid effort .
Unforunately for Fleetwood i chose Highbury for my first attempt . Obviously i'll have to come back as i've not done it justice . I should have gone to Blackpool first !
I'm a football fan , not a journalist or photographer so i've started a journey into the unknown and hopefully like a team starting from the bottom of the leagues , i'll improve along the way .
Fleetwood started brightly and looked more likely to score first but poor finishing let them down . Preston gained confidence and Clark Carlisle was setting a good example directing the back four . Before the break Preston went ahead and had chances to add to their tally but had to be satisfied going in with a slender 1-0 lead at half-time . The second half saw Preston add three more goals including a delightful 25 yard free kick from Carter .
Enjoyed the atmosphere although service at the catering hutch was very slow. To be fair , the deluge of Preston fans attending the game and entering the new Parkside stand was in excess of 1,000 and the Fleetwood staff did admirably in the circumstances. The stand is superb though and you get a great view of the game .
The chariman , supporters and sponsors have certainly moved this club forward . I was last here in the social club in the 90's , not attending a game though, the club was way down the leagues . Amazing what can be achieved if you have ambition and financial support .
Great scoreboard in the corner near the clubhouse (American baseball style) Interesting addition and one i think most fans will appreciate unless your view is obscured of course !! LOL I was in the new stand with the PNE supporters .
